Sesame Shrimp Stir-Fry

  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 lb. medium peeled shrimp
  • ¼ tsp. ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp. teriyaki sauce
  • ½ lb. sugar snap peas


  1. ⅛ c. cornstarch, ¾ c. chicken broth, ¼ tsp. salt
  2. Combine shrimp, ginger, cayenne pepper, garlic and pepper in food storage bag; marinate in refrigerator for at least 20 minutes
  3. Prepare rice
  4. Heat oil in large skillet, add red pepper and onions; sauté until slightly tender, about 3-4 minutes
  5. Add teriyaki sauce, peas and shrimp, sauté 4 minutes or until shrimp are opaque
  6. Stir cornstarch into chicken broth
  7. Add to skillet; cook, stirring until mixture boils and add salt
  8. Serve shrimp mixture over rice
