Local Family Remodel’s SHOP ‘n SAVE® from Floor to Ceiling
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – July 27, 2014 – SHOP ‘n SAVE, the independently owned and operated grocery chain with more than 90 stores in Western Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Ohio and West Virginia, attended the Westmoreland County Airshow for a good cause. Despite overcast weather, SHOP ‘n SAVE raised a total of $2,200 for the Wounded Warrior Project through hourly raffle drawings for a chance to win a SHOP ‘n SAVE or Sunoco gift cards.
SHOP ‘n SAVE hosted a tent where they held raffle drawings every hour for chances to win a $50 SHOP ‘n SAVE gift card or Sunoco gift card. The final grand prize drawing of the day was for a chance to win either a $250 gift card to SHOP ‘n SAVE or a $250 gift card to Sunoco. All of the proceeds went directly to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. Event attendees could also have their picture taken at the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile and listen to live music.
The weekend airshow in Westmoreland County featured the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels who commanded the skies at the Arnold Palmer Region Airport in Unity. The Blue Angels brought an 80-member team and six F/A-18 blue-and-yellow fighter jets that can hit speeds up to 700mph.
